Suicide note

In a heart-wrenching incident that has left the community of Apaaso in the Adwira Sekyeredumase Municipality in the Ashanti Region reeling with shock, the suicide note of a 38-year-old Headteacher has surfaced after he tragically took his own life just days before his wedding.

Ernest Atta Kyei, a dedicated educator and the Headteacher of Apaaso Basic School was found lifeless in his room on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

It is believed that he hanged himself using a bar and his sponge as a means to end his life.

Alongside the distressing suicide note, traces of a mysterious liquid, suspected to be poison, were discovered on the floor.

The cryptic suicide note reads,

I can no longer live on this earth any longer. Don't blame anyone. Take care of my son for me, this is my father's number.

What could have driven Mr. Ernest Atta Kyei, a promising educator with a seemingly bright future, to make such a tragic decision remains a mystery.

According to a colleague teacher who spoke with our reporter, the Headteacher had mentioned having a problem a few days prior but did not provide any details.

Adding further intrigue to the already sorrowful incident, the late Headteacher also confided in his colleague that the GHC 7,000 set aside for his wedding had gone missing, raising questions about potential financial troubles or foul play.

As the community mourns the loss of a respected educator, the police have begun investigations into the circumstances surrounding this devastating event.

The body has been deposited at the morgue for further examination.
