Ghanaian Gospel sensation, Philipa Baafi, has achieved a significant milestone in her life as she was officially inducted into the Medical and Dental Council as a Physician Assistant.
The colorful ceremony, as shared on her Facebook post, marked the fulfillment of her lifelong dream of contributing to the medical profession.
Known for her hit song "Go High," Philipa Baafi expressed her gratitude to God for the successful induction and the realization of her ambition.
She took to her social media account to share the joyous moment with her fans, writing, "Family help me THANK THE LORD for a successful Induction into Medical and Dental council as Physician Assistant."
In a 2020 interview with Amansan Krakye on GBC Radio Central, Philipa Baafi clarified that her temporary absence from the music scene was not solely due to marriage and childbirth, as some had speculated.
Instead, she revealed that she had decided to pursue her passion for becoming a Medical Doctor, a dream she had cherished since childhood.
Elaborating on her dedication to the medical profession, she stated,
Already I have a foundation that helps to supply free medicine to the sick, needy, and poor in society, so I have that passion and burning desire of becoming a medical doctor. At a point, I thought of going back to pursue that childhood dream in order to assist mankind. So thanks to God, I’m on course, and very soon, I will become a fully-fledged Medical Doctor; that’s why I was missing from the music scene.
