The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested two people who are thought to have been involved in a robbery attack at a stone quarry.

The robbery took place on August 2, 2023, at the Pilot Stone Quarry site in Gomoa Ojobi, where a group of six robbers carried out a raid.

A laptop and the company's GHC 200,000.00 were taken during the robbery.

In the midst of the mayhem of gunshots and violence directed at certain Chinese nationals present at the scene, the crooks also targeted the employees and food sellers, stealing their cell phones.

After getting a distress call, the Central East Regional Police Command responded quickly.

On the Winneba-Kasoa road, they promptly installed a barrier, which enabled the effective arrest of the two.

Law enforcement officials found the stolen laptop, multiple mobile phones, and the precise sum of money seized from the quarry company after examining the suspects' car.

As the authorities continue to hunt down the other members of the gang involved in the horrible crime and violence at the stone quarry, this arrest represents a significant advancement in the case.

The Police Command has promised the public that they will do all in their power to prosecute all of the offenders.
