A/R: Resident Of Obuasi Nearly Beats MCE For Destroying His Property

Obuasi MCEs decongestion exercise

Elijah Adansi-Bonah, the Municipal Chief Executive of Obuasi, has been organizing a week-long decongestion effort in Obuasi from Sunday, October 30, 2022, to clear the city of unapproved constructions and maintain it clean.

Unfortunately, a man who appeared to be a businessman almost beat the MCE up in one of the towns.

The businessman appeared to be attempting to attack the MCE in a video released by UTV sighted by Davas News, except for the police officers, his family, and the municipality's officials' intervention as the businessman's building, which was in front of a mansion off the road, was being torn down by a tractor.

The merchant, who was trying to hit the MCE, claimed that the latter had destroyed his property out of jealousy and greed.

"This is corruption. I know you are doing this because of greed. I know you hate me. You are doing this to me because of envy. You, this small boy, Akufo-Addo will not even dare to do what you are doing to me," the businessman could be heard saying.

The businessman's daughter, who was pleading with her father not to hit the MCE, could also be overheard demeaning the MCE.
