The founder of the Shinning Grace Chapel International, Prophet Azuka, has given himself the title of one of Ghana's most potent spiritual seers, able to foretell the future—including death.
Azuka, also known by his nickname Ogya Nyame, warned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that a potential death was looming within their group. A prominent NPP member and former CEO of the Forestry Commission named Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, well known as Sir John, passed just a few months after making his prescient prediction.
After a brief illness, Sir John, a well-known politician and former General Secretary was declared deceased on July 1, 2020.
In an interview with Paula Amma Broni on Talkertainment, Prophet Azuka asked prominent figures to take death prophesies seriously rather than discounting them or showing disrespect to pastors who have been labeled as prophets of doom.
"In 2018, I announced that the NDC was going to emerge victorious in the parliamentary elections as the NPP's Akufo-Addo grabs the presidential seat. I even added that 6 to 8 months into office, a key member of the NPP was going to die. This was fulfilled with Sir John's demise. In my case, I vividly explain my prophecies. I am a 'prophet for teacher'," he said.
Additionally, Prophet Azuka foresaw that the New Patriotic Party, which is now in power, will win the 2024 presidential elections.
"I have cautioned the NDC, they have up to March 6, 2023, to work hard and avert the NPP from emerging victories in the upcoming presidential elections. When I see things changed in the spiritual realm I will announce it," he declared.
