FIFA 2022 Qatar World Cup

In less than 33 days, 2.89 million tickets have been sold for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, according to the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).

The 2.89 million tickets that have already been sold, according to the international football governing body, are for the 64 games that will be played in eight different stadiums in Qatar.

According to the report, the United States, Saudi Arabia, England, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina, France, Brazil, and Germany were the nations that purchased the most tickets out of all those that were offered.

"The tournament has also achieved record-breaking hospitality ticket sales with 240,000 packages sold 63% of those to international clients," it further detailed.

In addition to other preparations, the football association also unveiled the "Hayya Card," which would act as an admission card for foreign spectators, grant access for those with valid match tickets, and give free public transportation around the nation.

FIFA additionally advised tournament attendees to acquire the tickets that would be available from now until the event's completion in Qatar.

More tickets have been sold for this year's World Cup than there were for the previous one in 2018, which had more than 2.5 million sold as of a week before the event, with Russia, the host country, leading the list of purchasers.

On November 20, 2022, the FIFA World Cup will kick off, with 32 nations expected to take part.
