Kofi Owusu Hene, alias Kofi Capito, the CEO of the Consumer Protection Agency, has been detained by the Accra Circuit Court after he failed to appear before it.
When the case was called, Kofi Capito, who is being tried by the court, did not appear.
A bench warrant for his arrest was issued by the court, which was presided over by Mrs Christina Cann.
The case has been postponed until October 20, 2022, on Thursday.
The CEO of the Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) is being detained on suspicion of depriving a deceased person of their right to use their property, committing domestic violence to wit economic abuse, and inflicting unlawful damage.
The CEO of CPA is accused of denying his late brother's widow access to a residence they had jointly purchased in Ogbojo and of threatening to sell the property, in which the widow has a stake.
He is now out on bail and has refuted every accusation levelled against him.
