
Ghana President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo is currently in Conakry, the capital of Guinea to hold talks with the military leadership of the country.
The Chairperson of the Authority of Heads of State of ECOWAS, President Akufo Addo is one of the delegates sent by ECOWAS to Guinea to have a talk with the military leadership in Guinea led by Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya.
The President visited the country with fellow president His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
The purpose of their visit to the country is to talk largely about the fate of President Alpha Condé who was recently overthrown by the country's military led by Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya.

A formal parade was set by the people to welcome the ECOWAS delegates.
On September 5th 2021 President of Guinea, Alpha Condé's government was dissolved through a coup d'état orchestrated by the country's armed forces.
In view of this, leaders of ECOWAS held a meeting in Accra, Ghana to discuss the recent coup in Guinea.
After the meeting, President Akufo Addo and President Alassane Ouattara were the people delegated by ECOWAS to represent them in Guinea to talk about the fate of Alpha Condé.
