A Ghanaian prophetess has caused a stir online after sharing a startling vision in which she claims the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba appeared to her, seeking help from beyond the grave.
The vision, which the elderly woman tearfully recounted in a TikTok video posted on August 3, 2025, via the account @koforiduaflowers5, has since gone viral—prompting reactions ranging from deep curiosity to disbelief.
In the emotional video, the woman described seeing Daddy Lumba—real name Charles Kwadwo Fosu—lying face-down in front of a house. She said he looked weak and distressed.
“When I approached him, he told me he had just struggled with someone inside the house and managed to escape,” she said. “But when he tried to re-enter, they told him he couldn’t come in—because he was no longer among the living.”
According to her, the vision felt incredibly real. She claimed Lumba gave her a message during the encounter—one meant specifically for his Germany-based wife, Akosua Serwaa. However, she declined to reveal the content of the message, stating it was private and meant solely for Serwaa.
The prophetess did not confirm whether she had been able to reach out to the late musician’s wife, but her account has quickly gained traction online. While some viewers found her words moving and powerful, others expressed doubt, questioning the authenticity of such claims.
Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025, sending shockwaves through Ghana’s music industry. Widely celebrated as one of the greatest figures in highlife music, his passing marked the end of a remarkable career that spanned decades.
As tributes continue to pour in, this alleged vision adds a spiritual dimension to the public mourning and has once again brought the late icon to the forefront of national conversation—even in death.
A candlelight vigil was held for the legend in Accra at the Independence Square. The same will be replicated in Kumasi at the Heroes Park.
