A couple of days ago there has been a rise in the concerns of many Ghanaians as to the number of SIM cards that have been registered with their Ghana Card.
In view of this the Ministry of Communication and Digitization Ghana, the National Communication Authority (NCA) and the telecommunication networks in Ghana have come out with a short code that will enable every Ghanaian to check the number of SIM cards registered with their Ghana Card.
In this article, we are going to take you through the process and show you how it is done with the help of images.
How To Check All The SIM Cards Registered With Your Ghana Card
1. Dial *402*1#

After this, you will be asked whether you want to check your SIMs or Cancel
2. Enter '1' and hit send.
You will be asked to enter your Ghana Card Number.
3. Enter the ID Number of your Ghana Card.
NOTE: Enter the numbers and letters that make up the ID Number without the hyphen. Eg. (GHA0000000023)
You will be asked to enter your date of birth.
4. Enter your date of birth in this format (DDMMYY).
'DD' stand for the day, 'MM' for the month and 'YY' for the year you were born. Eg. 02071998 means 2nd July 1995.
After this, you will receive a prompt indicating that your request has been received successfully.
Wait for some minutes and to receive an SMS with the list of all the mobile numbers linked to your Ghana Card indicating their corresponding network.
If you identify any unknown mobile number(s) linked to your Ghana Card, request for the delinking of the number(s) as soon as possible from your service providers.
This initiative is meant to help reduce the operations of Mobile Money scammers and help reduce the crime rate in this country.
