In the Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State in Nigeria, bandits assaulted many settlements and injured numerous people while kidnapping an unknown number of individuals.
The gunmen reportedly attacked the communities on Friday afternoon, April 28, 2023, and Saturday morning, April 29, 2023, at around 2 p.m.
Essan, Koitapi, Wuda, and Loitapi, among other nearby villages, were among those assaulted.
According to accounts, the robbers hauled away livestock, motorcycles, cash, and houses in the impacted towns, leaving locals homeless while they worked for several hours without being confronted.
In the meantime, Maikarfi Sabastine, the Coordinator of the Kaffin Koro Axis Concerned Youth, has pleaded with Governor Abubakar Bello and the security services to rush to the help of the afflicted areas.
