WAEC Releases 2022 BECE Results, Subject Results Of 416 School Candidates Cancelled

WAEC Releases 2022 BECE Results

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has declared, for the general public's benefit, that the provisional results of last year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) have been issued.

Because both school and private candidates took the exams, WAEC is sending school candidates' results to their individual schools via the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Directors of Education, while private applicants' results may be seen on WAEC's website.

The Council reported that the subject results of 416 school candidates and 3 private candidates had been revoked "for the crime of either introducing foreign materials into the test hall or cooperating with other candidates".

Subject results for 38 school candidates have also been withheld.

Unfortunately, the results of 73 school candidates and two private candidates have been cancelled.

Eleven other people's whole results have been withheld.

"Depending on the outcome of the investigations, candidates' withheld results may be cancelled or released."

WAEC said in a statement released Wednesday evening that the scripts of candidates from 40 schools in specific courses are being reviewed.
