Shatta Wale Reveals How Much He Charged For The Hogbetsotso Festival

Shatta Wale, the king of African dancehall, has revealed yet another incident involving his dispute with the Hogbetsotso Festival's organizers.

Prior to all of this uproar, Shatta Wale had stated during an interview with Captain Smart on ONUA TV that he had received full payment for his performance.

However, he was not to be spotted on D-day, and this sparked a huge social media controversy.

In a live Facebook session, Shatta Wale gave an explanation for his absence, claiming that the organizers intended to bring him directly to a radio station for an interview as soon as he arrived, a plan he had already decided to reject.

In explaining his side of the story, Shatta Wale also stated that he initially requested GHC 2.8 million ($200,000), but the organizers made known to him that they can only afford GHC200,000.

Out of respect for Bola Ray, whom he regards as his godfather in the entertainment industry, he consented to accept the meagre Ghc 200,000.

The show's organizers have yet to publicly address their unpleasant encounter with Shatta Wale.
