As they left the stadium after the game, the spectators, who were trying to uphold the Japanese ethic of cleanliness, cleaned it up.

After the game, some prominent national team supporters refused to let the significance of Ghana's victory over South Korea sink in.

The Ghanaian supporters cleaned up the stadium's different stands before ecstatically heading to the streets.
