On the roadway between Offinso and Aboffour, a horrific accident claimed the life of a mother of seven children.
The same event also caused serious injuries to three more people.
Sister Naomi, 38, was reportedly driven over on the highway by a trailer carrying heavy cargo and killed as a result.
According to a witness, the tragic occurrence happened when the deceased and her friends were travelling to Aboffour market.
Daniel Offer, an eyewitness, described how the dead got on a tricycle (aboboyaa) and rode from Offinso Samproso to Aboffour for trading purposes.
"Naomi is said to have fallen from the tricycle after its tyre burst leaving her in the middle of the road, the trailer which was on a top speed run over the deceased killing her on the spot."
The unnamed trailer's driver is presently being held by authorities as an aid in their investigations.
Offinso police officers who were sent to the site to help settle things down have brought the deceased's body to the morgue.
