In an accident on Tuesday morning on the Kintampo road, a merchant died and roughly five other people were hurt.
While travelling to Buipe, a large truck carrying food from vendors who took advantage of the market day crashed as it reached Abofo.
There were no warning indications of construction taking place ahead, according to the wounded passengers, the automobile instead slammed into a massive pothole.
As a result, the truck flipped before coming to a sudden stop at the side of the road.
Many passengers suffered varying degrees of injury, including one merchant who passed away immediately and another who is in severe condition.
One of the injured passengers said that along a 20 km stretch of asphalt road, he was pulled while attached to the vehicle.
The injured passengers were sent to a number of hospitals in the area.
