A 47-year-old man was shot and killed by some alleged armed robbers at Achiase-Wansamire in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
Information reaching us indicates that the tragic occurrence took place on Sunday, October 2, 2022, around 9 am.
The victim, a cement salesman by the name of Yesu Mogya, perished tragically in an encounter with suspected thieves outside of the town.
Police have not yet identified or captured his murderers.
However, several inhabitants of the neighbourhood think there was foul play in the incident that resulted in the businessman's death.
His remains have been sent to the morgue for an autopsy and preservation in the meantime by local police.
Additionally, they have started looking into his passing.
The town's chief, Nana Kwabena Frimpong, who verified the occurrence to Bismark Mensah of Angel News, said they were shocked by the man's passing.
In order to prevent such instances from happening in the future, Nana Frimpong urged the security services to strengthen patrols in the region.
