For the first time on Showbiz 360, Shatta Wale discusses his time in jail. The dancehall musician preferred going to jail versus going on vacation.

Shatta Wale claimed that because of the prisoner's kind welcome, he immediately felt at home. He said other people did his shopping for him and supplied their best meals for his delight.

"When I got to jail, I was truly feeling like I was at home, he confessed to Giovani.

"Because after spending 30 years there, no one has ever seen Shatta Wale. They thus brought me water as soon as they spotted me. Some of them gave me food from their guests. It was the same in the jailhouse as when people see me on the street and fell to their knees."

Shatta Wale's ordeal didn't break him; instead, he recovered well enough to write the popular song "On God."

"It's not like they sent me over there to suffer. I felt like I was on vacation while I was there. Nobody goes to prison and returns from it in a positive state of mind. But once I got out of jail, I released 'On God,'" Shatta Wale added.
