Yaw Danso, the District Chief Executive of the Bosome Freho, has been called in to testify over his suspected involvement in galamsey in the district.
Minister of Local Government, Rural Development, and Decentralization Daniel Kweku Botwe called him to a meeting.
This occurs after the DCE was heard in a leaked audio recording asking for a percentage from some people and enticing others to visit Chinese businesses late at night to collect money for illegal mining.
The President said that Yaw Danso's attitude to being summoned will influence the future when he met with the house of chiefs and MMDCEs yesterday to discuss methods to end galamsey.
Yaw Danso has not yet responded to the summons, despite the fact that he plans to commemorate his wife's one-week passing on Thursday, October 6.
