CEO Of GRAMMYS Hints At Hosting Awards Event In Africa After Meeting With Bawumia

The GRAMMY Awards are thinking about holding one of their events in Africa.

After Harvey Mason Jr., the scheme's chief executive officer, met with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana's vice president, the proposal gained momentum.

Following the meeting with Ghana's Vice President, Denta, the GUBA Awards' organizer, tweeted to her fans to let them know.

She said, Our team visited the office of the Vice President to discuss ideas and innovative way to appreciate the creative industry in Africa. Our conversations and interest on hosting the Grammys in Africa seems to have a headstart between Ghana’s Vice President and the CEO of Grammys.

 

A few weeks ago, the Chief Executive Officer of the GRAMMYs visited Ghana and spoke with a number of music industry participants.

He explained to Ghanaian musicians how to become nominees for the most prestigious award program in the world.
