3 Arrested For Robbing A Fuel Station In Tarkwa

Three people have been arrested in the Western Region in connection with a robbery at a fuel station at Bonsawire near Tarkwa-Nsuasem Municipality.

The incident which happened at the Kingsperb fuel station at Bonsawire involves two employees of the fuel station who conspired with two others to execute the robbery.


According to the Police, they received a call from the station that two young men have robbed the fuel station of GHC106,000.00 with knives.

During the police investigation, Godfred Amoah popularly known as Anas who happens to be a night fuel pump attendants and Dominic Kwarteng, the security man at the fuel station were arrested for interrogation.


Godfred then admitted to having conspired with the security man and two other suspects, Benjamin Kwofie and one Pilato to rob the fuel station.

The Police indicated that one of the suspects Benjamin Kwofie has also been arrested while Pilato escaped the Police grip.


An amount of GHC101,662.00 believed to be part of the money stolen was identified in a school bag retrieved from Benjamin Kwofie when it was searched.
