A policeman and his friend have been arrested for gang robbery and causing harm in Accra.
The policeman who goes by the Abubakar Yakubu is said to be part of the Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) of the Ghana Police Service.
According to our source, Constable Abubakar Yakubu was arrested after he led a team of five men to attack Sampson Gyamfi and his friends who were having a good time at the Soldier Bar.
Police investigation revealed that Sampson Gyamfi was ordered to hand over his keys and document to his car by Abubakar Yakubu.
Sampson Gyamfi after refusing to do what he was commanded to do was forced by Constable Abubakar.
He took the car keys of Sampson's black Chevrolet, beat him up and also seized GHC 2,400 worth of gold chain from one of Sampson's companions.
Sampson quickly reported the incident to the police and Abubakar and one of his friend was arrested while the rest are on the run.
A handcuff, a police ID and Sampson Gyamfi's keys were identified with Constable Abubakar upon his arrest.
