The new deadly Covid-19 variant has taken the life of 10 infected persons in Kumasi within a period of 13 days.
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has issued a release cautioning residents of the metropolis to adhere to all Covid-19 safety protocols.
The press release which was signed by Harrietta A.K. Aboakye, the Public Relations Officer was issued on 19th July 2021.
The release indicated that the Delta variant was first detected after the December 2020 Christmas festivity.
It also indicated that over 200 infection cases have been recorded in various hospitals within the metropolis from 1st July to 13th July.
Among the over 200 cases have 10 death recorded from the infection.
