Nicki Minaj Sues Nigerian Influencer Dr. Penking Over Alleged Cyberbullying

US rapper Nicki Minaj has taken legal action against Nigerian social media influencer Dr. Penking, accusing him of cyberbullying and copyright infringement following a dispute on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

The disagreement began when Dr. Penking shared an older video featuring Minaj on his X account. Alongside the video, he posted a caption suggesting that the rapper had reached a point in her career where she should consider retiring.

Minaj responded publicly, questioning whether the influencer had obtained permission to share the video, which she said had been recorded years earlier. She accused him of using the clip in a way that targeted and harassed her. Shortly afterward, Minaj indicated that the influencer had been added to an ongoing legal case she is pursuing.

The lawsuit centers on two main claims: alleged cyberbullying and the unauthorized use of copyrighted content. According to the claims referenced in the dispute, Minaj argues that the video belongs to her and that sharing it without permission, particularly in a context that she believes was intended to mock or provoke her, violates her rights.
