Togbe Afede XIV, the Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak Football Club, revealed plans for the construction of an impressive 25,000-capacity stadium.

The news came during a recent meeting between the club's board and the public stakeholders.

Togbe Afede XIV expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "After the Pobiman is done, the only thing we don't have is a big stadium."

This move aligns with CAF's requirements for a minimum 25,000-capacity stadium, and Togbe Afede XIV emphasized the club's commitment to meeting this standard.

He assured the public that the visionary and forward-thinking board had already initiated the search for suitable land for the stadium's construction.

"We are ticking all the boxes, but it is not easy," Togbe Afede XIV admitted, acknowledging the challenges inherent in such a substantial project.

The upcoming stadium will be a significant milestone, following the ongoing construction of the Pobiman multi-purpose facility.

Even before completing the Pobiman project, Hearts of Oak relocated their first team to the hostel facility on the premises.

The team is currently utilizing two natural grass surfaces and an artificial pitch for their preseason preparations.

The completed facility will encompass various amenities, including Staff Residence, Senior Housing Unit, a gym, four FIFA standard training pitches, a laundry area, a swimming pool, and a hostel facility designed for players' convenience.

Furthermore, progress is also being made on the construction of the club's secretariat in Assylum Down, Accra, with completion anticipated by the end of the year.

Hearts of Oak's ambitious plans are set to reshape the future of the club, with the new stadium poised to become a hub of sporting excellence and a testament to their commitment to growth and development.
