The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken a bold step toward shaping its future with the announcement of a Party School dedicated to leadership training and promoting its vision of a free and prosperous society.
At a Mentorship Forum organized by the National Youth Wing of the party, NPP's National Chairman, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, unveiled the plans for the school, which aims to equip members aspiring for leadership roles within the party and government with the necessary skills and knowledge.
The Party School will serve as a platform to instill the party's core values, principles, and center-right orientation among its members.
It will also conduct cutting-edge research to further the party's objectives. Mr. Ntim emphasized that the school is set to provide leadership training to party members aspiring for various positions in both the party and government.
"We have secured a national secretariat for the school, appointed a governing council chaired by the former Speaker of Parliament, Right Honourable Aaron Mike Oquaye, and named Professor Bondzie Simpson as the Rector," said Mr.
Ntim, highlighting the progress made in setting up the school. He also stressed that the school's mission is to groom students from educational institutions like TESCON (Tertiary Students Confederacy) and equip them with leadership skills relevant to the 21st century.
In the medium to long term, the NPP envisions that appointees and potential appointees in an NPP government, as well as elected officers and appointees at various party levels, would undergo training at the Party School.
This move reflects the party's commitment to nurturing its members with a deep understanding of the NPP ideology and political strategies, as well as the principles upheld by JB Danquah, Simeon Dombo, Kofi Abrefa Busia, and other notable party figures.
The establishment of the Party School is a significant milestone in the NPP's pursuit of fostering a well-prepared and skilled cadre of leaders to advance the party's objectives.
By investing in the education and ideological development of its members, the NPP aims to build a strong foundation for a brighter future and a truly prosperous society.
