Bono Region: 14 Arrested For Murder And Illegal Possession Of Firearms

In a major breakthrough, the Police apprehended 14 suspects linked to a fatal clash resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals at Mpameso Forest near Dormaa Ahenkro in the Bono Region.

The arrests were made on July 25, 2023, following a thorough investigation into the incident.

The suspects have been identified as Hafiz Mohammed, Fuseini Mohammed, Abass Abukari, Alhassan Razak, Fuseini Shaibu, and Addai Gyebi.

Additionally, among those arrested are Abubakari Issahaku, Seidu Sulemana, Kwabena Yeboah, Alhassan Awal, Enoch Opoku, Ibrahim Issah, Obeng Richard, and Ibrahim Adams.

According to the police report, the two deceased individuals were guarding a timber concession at Mpameso Forest when they were shot during the violent clash.

The suspects were found to be unlawfully in possession of eight pump-action guns, a cutlass, and a knife during the search conducted after their arrest.

Currently held in police custody, all 14 suspects are cooperating with the ongoing investigation and will soon face court proceedings for their alleged involvement in the murder and unlawful possession of arms.
