Ghanaian hip-life artist Sarkodie has jokingly declared his intention to challenge dancehall singer Shatta Wale to a Royal Rumble-style boxing battle at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
During a recent trip to the Arena to see some boxing matches, the challenge was issued.
Sarkodie, who was invited to provide his assessment of what he had seen so far, expressed his gratitude for being present and made a commitment to come back in the future to see other matches.
His challenge to Shatta Wale, though, was what really got people's attention. He laughed and said, "You can set up a boxing match between myself and Shatta Wale to verify this."
Sarkodie and Shatta Wale's celebrity boxing bout would surely get a lot of interest from their fans, who are well-known for their energizing stage performances and lyrical skills, and it would be intriguing to watch who would prevail.
The two who previously had a falling out may rekindle it with a boxing battle after they reconciled at Sarkodie's Black Love event in 2020.
Remember that the Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy dispute, which was put to an end in 2019 following the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards altercation, was replaced by the two's ongoing battle.
Until the dispute was resolved, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale traded insults in their songs, interviews, and social media postings. However, it is unclear whether Shatta Wale would accept the challenge.
