Woman Gets Angry After Her Daughter Got Aggregate 35 And Didn't Get School But Her Friend Got School With Aggregate 35

Last Wednesday, the Ghana Education Service (GES) announced school placement for 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduates into Senior High Schools and Technical, Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) schools across the country.

The GES said at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, February 15, that 538,399 of the 547,329 registered kids qualified to be placed in the various Senior high schools around the country.

372,780 individuals, or 69.24%, were also automatically assigned to various schools.

The GES also indicated that 165,601 candidates who were unable to be matched with their preferred schools will be required to self-place.

Dr Eric Nkansah, Director General of the Ghana Education Service, also told the media that first-year students are expected to report to school on February 20 to begin their admission processes.

An enraged mother whose ward was not assigned to any school has accused GES of defrauding her daughter.

According to the enraged mother, her daughter had an aggregate of 35 and was not assigned to a school, although her friend had an aggregate of 39 and was sent to a SHS.

The mother indicated that her daughter's first choice was Aburi Girls, and her second option was Mfantsiman.
