Last Video Of Christian Atsu Before His Untimely Death

Last Saturday, a Turkish rescue squad found the body of former Ghanaian player Christian Atsu after a 12-day search.

According to the photograph, which was uploaded by a Turkish news outlet, Atsu was stranded between a concrete wall as he dangled from a story building thought to be the 9th floor of his apartment when the earthquake occurred.

Prior to this heartbreaking news, Ghanaians had been hoping for the last several days that the former Blackstars player would be found alive, but that was not the case as he arrived at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Sunday night, February 19, as previously scheduled.

The former Black Stars winger's remains was carried onto a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul in a casket wrapped in the national flag.

The corpse was welcomed at KIA by the Ghana Armed Forces (GFA), who were joined by the Twasam family, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and the Government.

In the midst of the grief, a video of Christian Atsu's final appearance before his tragic death has surfaced online.

Christian Atsu may be seen in the video making merry and jubilating with his teammates for scoring the winning goal for his club, which spared them from relegation from the Tuirksih Premier League.

The goal meant a lot to him since, according to Hatayspor, Atsu had a visa to leave Turkey on Sunday night, February 5, 2023, but he cancelled it because he had scored his first goal.
