The World Health Organization (WHO) has rated the earthquake tragedy as the worst and "worst" in a century.
Another deadly earthquake has struck Turkey and Lebanon, after the death of Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu in the last earthquake.
Cassandra Nana Ama Nhyira, a Ghanaian resident in Lebanon, claimed in an interview with Ambassador TV that "scores of Ghanaians are trapped here in Lebanon, and these folks are battling to get to a place to sleep."
"Because of what happened to Christian Atsu after the earthquake in Turkey, we are really terrified, and the majority of us want to return home," she explained.
"We had a devastating earthquake in Lebanon two weeks ago, and today there was another One," she told Osei Kwadwo.
“Ambassador, As I speak to you, the government of Lebanon has stated that another earthquake will occur, therefore we have been obliged to leave for our own safety," she added.
"About 100 Ghanaians in Lebanon are eager to return to Ghana, but they lack the funds for flying tickets, and these folks have been trapped with little hope," she bemoaned.
Cassandra urged the authorities to rescue Ghanaians who had become stuck in Lebanon in order to avert a calamity.
