One of Ghana's prestigious Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the Eastern Region has a video on the dining hall tables, and it is unpleasant.
The slabs on the dining tables at Pope John Senior High School (POJOSS), which are exposed to the weather, are completely decayed, luring insects.
The video also shows a former student who expresses concern that the condition of the school's dining tables would make it look bad to other schools, which might have a negative impact on the pupils' mental health.
"This video must not go out else other schools will laugh at us," he said in the video.
"This can even force students to abandon the school because they eat on better tables in their homes" he lamented.
Although the exact time the video was recorded is unknown, there was going to be a PTA meeting hence the parking on the table outside to the mercy of the weather.
Since the implementation of the Free Senior High School initiative on a big scale in 2017, Ghana's senior high education has been going through a phase.
Infrastructure, nutrition, and staffing issues have been among the biggest problems schools have faced since the free SHS was implemented.
Perhaps this most recent video has once again highlighted the need for support for senior high schools, particularly when a grade A school like Pope John Senior High School is struggling, which makes other lower-grade schools suffer even more.
