Many people have been of the opinion that Sarkodie merely included Black Sherif and Cina Soul on the album for trending purposes because the two are now the hottest in the business since the release of the Jamz album by Sarkodie.

The rapper from Tema said in a separate interview that he doesn't approach his colleagues for collaboration but rather they call him for appearances on their tracks.

"Most of these records you hear me on that you think I’m jumping on somebody’s record, I never reach out to these people," he said.

He claimed that Blacko contacted him and pleaded with him to appear on the record.

"Big shouts to my superstar Blacko," he said. "Blacko hit me up, last minute of this project: ‘Landlord, I have to be on ‘Jamz". I said, ‘Pull up’.

Sarkodie's claim has been confirmed by Black Sherif, who also revealed that it was he who contacted Sarkodie.

He claims that he got in touch with Sarkodie as soon as he posted a flyer for the new album and the two of them recorded three tracks.

"Sark had posted the flyer of the album. So I hit him up like: ‘Landlord, no, this album I have to be on it before it comes out’," he said.

"We made songs, like three songs," he gestured to the figure with his fingers. "'Countryside' was one of them."
