On Saturday, December 24, 2022, an accident involving at least five cars is said to have occurred on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
A big pickup truck, a minibus used for business, and at least three private cars, including a Toyota Vitz, were scattered across the road between Akyem Anyinasin and Linda Dor, two settlements in the Eastern Region, according to a popular Kofi TV video.
Some of the cars and their components were visible in the nearby shrubs and valleys, as well as fuel and oil byproducts from the vehicles.
No one was killed or seriously hurt as a consequence of the collision, according to the individual who recorded the footage.
One of the casualties, whose car had crashed into a ravine, claimed that one of the motorists heading into Accra lost control of his vehicle and began crashing into nearby vehicles.
He said that there were five cars involved, adding that four of them were travelling in the direction of Accra and one was travelling in the direction of Kumasi.
Additionally, members of the Ghana Police Service were spotted on the scene of the collision, however, they have not yet issued a statement.
