The information about the parents and siblings of prominent investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has been made public by former Special Prosecutor Martin A.B.K Amidu.
The names of the journalist's mother, father, and two sisters were made public in a new piece written by the former Special Prosecutor and Attorney-General, Mr Amidu.
According to reports, Amidu learned of the information while serving as a special prosecutor, ultimately establishing that the journalist's given name, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, was not an adopted one but rather one given to him at birth.
Anas Aremeyaw was charged by Mr Amidu of serving as a government undercover agent.
"Anas Aremeyaw Anas, son of Anas Mahama and Mariama Damba, and brother of Karimatu Anas and Ummul Kulsum Anas is a Government undercover agent working covertly for this Government of Ghana since 11 September 2017".
This follows the journalist's harsh criticism for publicizing the Galamsey Economy film, which featured a lawyer, a chief, and Minister Charles Adu-Boahen, but failing to present the first two as promised.
On Monday night, many hundreds of attendees left the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) disappointed and with questions for Anas.
Tiger Eye PI had promised the public what to anticipate from the exposé a week before the Galamsey Economy Video premiered, however, the chief and attorney were cut out.
