Dede Ayew, the captain of the Blackstars, has broken an international record by surpassing all Blackstars players in terms of appearances.
Andre Ayew just reached 110 appearances in the 2-0 victory against Switzerland in a pre-World Cup friendly played in Abu Dhabi, becoming Ghana's most-capped player.
In September, when he entered the game as a substitute against Nicaragua, he equalled Asamoah Gyan's record of 109 appearances, but he started against Switzerland and performed admirably in what was a record-breaking game for him.
On August 21, 2007, Dede made his senior national team debut against Senegal, playing under coach Claud Le Roy.
At the AFCON competition on January 19, 2010, Andre Ayew scored his first goal for the Black Stars against Burkina Faso. Because Ghana won, it was much more noteworthy.
On May 24, he replaced Asamoah Gyan as the Black Stars' captain under head coach Kwesi Appiah. At the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, he captained the team.
