Arrested people at Ashaiman

The Greater Accra Region's New Tulaku, Ashaiman, in the early hours of October 28, 2022, saw violent battles between two groups.

As a result of this, the Ghana Police Service has detained 29 people for their involvement.

The incident, which left six persons with varying degrees of injury, was the result of a miscommunication between two opposing factions at the New Tulaku meat market, the Police said.

"The injured are currently at the hospital receiving medical attention, and are all in stable condition, according to the medical authorities," the Police said in a statement.

"The police have since restored calm and deepened personnel presence at Ashaiman and its environs.

"Investigation continues and all those involved will be brought to justice".
