Lightning Strike Kills Boy In Oti Region

A 12-year-old child named Philip Ajoyi from the Oti Region's Nkwanta South Municipality was struck by lightning after fleeing for his life with two other friends during a rain.

Assemblyman for Nkwanta Central, Mr Awal Zakari, verified the tragic event.

Philip died after being hit, leaving two out of the three kids unconscious for 30 minutes.

According to Mr Zakari, the incident was then reported to the Police, and the deceased person's body was left at the Nkwanta District Hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation.

The event was confirmed by a police source.
