There are 834 candidates vying for the seats of Constituency Executives in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta region.
There are a total of 135 women among them.
All were successfully vetted with a negligible number of disqualifications, according to Mr James Gunu, Regional Secretary of the Party.
With the exception of Hohoe, he stated that the constituency elections will take place from October 22 to October 23.
He said that "we have a different plan for getting Hohoe back."
The digitized processes for nomination, filing, and vetting, according to him, had gone exceptionally well.
"The passion and rising willingness among individuals to support the Party and help it reclaim power in 2024 is heartening.
"It is obvious to us that everyone is tired of this government, he said.
Elections for the Party's Government Regional Executives, which had passed the nomination stage, are scheduled for the 11th and 12th days of the month of November.
Some party veterans have also been drawn to the regional roles, and Mr Gunu said he was aiming to keep his role as secretary.
He said that the Volta Region was still the Party's stronghold and that if voters followed the lead of earlier elections, victory would be certain.
"To ensure that we win in 2024, we're going to take some pretty bold measures. Every election process will be treated carefully by us."
