Nana Kwame Ampadu the veteran Ghanaian highlife musician, who passed away last year on September 28, at the Legon Hospital in Accra, will be buried on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Obo Kwahu in the Eastern Region.
The late musician was the leader and founder of the African Brothers International Band.
He died at the age of 76 after a short illness according to his son Anthony Ampadu.
The great highlife legend is considered by both local and international music lovers as the king of Ghana’s highlife music and is also seen as the musician with the most albums in the history of the Ghanaian music industry.
The mortal remains of the legend will be laid at Forecourt of the State for public viewing on 8th October 2022 as part of the three-day funeral ceremony in honour of the music icon, before they will be sent to his homeland for final burial rites.
