The conflict between two armed groups in Libya resulted in at least five deaths, including two children while 13 other persons suffered injuries, according to the Emergency and Ambulance Service on Monday.
Late Sunday night, a fight broke out in the residential neighbourhood of a-Zawiya city, which is located around 40 kilometres west of Tripoli.
Witnesses' report reveals that by Monday morning, fighting had ended, several stores had reopened, and things had started to go back to normal.
Social media users shared videos of the shooting and a fire starting close to the bridge leading to the al Lawiya oil plant.
Because certain medical crews were unable to get through the region near the conflicts, the emergency service had advised civilians to stay away from all routes going there.
