Ghastly Accident Recorded On Mallam-Kasoa Highway

Accident scene at Mallam-Kasoa highway

A horrifying accident involving two automobiles occurred near Kalabule Junction on the Mallam-Kasoa Highway.

The collision, which happened early on Friday, included a Toyota Yaris with the license plate GX 4635-22 and a commercial Hyundai Grace van with the license plate As 9553-10.

However, there were no casualties reported.

According to eyewitness accounts of the incident, the driver of the speeding Yaris left its lane after being struck by a car that had done a wrongful u-turn.

As a result, the Hyundai car that was parked on the stretch was hit by the Yaris after it crashed and climbed it.

The occupants of the Hyundai, the driver, and his mate were not harmed but both vehicles were damaged severely.

However, Kwaku Asiedu, the truck's driver, mentioned having leg and rib pain in an interview.

The eyewitness bemoaned the area's escalating accident rate, which is making both vehicles and pedestrians fearful and uneasy.

Others voiced worry about the absence of proper controls put in place to prevent accidents on the stretch, particularly at the U-turn at Kalabule Junction.

They complained about everything from broken traffic signals and lamps to the absence of police officers during rush hour to help control traffic.

Pedestrians claim that trying to cross the highway often turns chaotic and dangerous, and they are pleading with the authorities to address the issue immediately.
