Eight prophets have been reported dead after drowning in a river in Zimbabwe.
These prophets drown in a Hungumwe River in Rushinga Mashonaland Central Province of Zimbabwe.
The incident which took the life of 8 prophets from the Vadzidzi Vajeso Apostolic sect is reported to have happened on Saturday, 30th October 2021 at around 2pm.
According to our source, the prophets were in fierce competition to retrieve what they refer to as 'Holy Stick' in the river during a ritual to select a baptist.
The competition to retrieve the 'holy stick' was between 10 prophets but only two survived.
Bodies of the deceased prophets have been retrieved from the river.
Assistant Inspector Naison Dhliwayo who happens to be the Mashonaland Central deputy police spokesperson has revealed the names of the deceased as Nickson Singano (29), Peter Marera (31), Tendai Marera (28), Alexeio Makombe (26), Tichawana Katiyo (32), Isaac Dokora (21), Lanciot Dokora (34) and Chriswell Kunyengerera.
