West African Examination Council (WAEC) has rescheduled two papers after it was leaked on various social media groups and website.
WAEC has announced the cancellation and rescheduling of Physics papers 1 and 2 and Business Management papers 1 and 2.
These papers were supposed to be written on Wednesday 15th September 2021, but the organization after some investigations has come across a replica of the questions on the papers circulating on the internet.
These leaked questions come in a form of both printed and handwritten.
WAEC, therefore, released the names of some schools that they received tip-offs about their intention to cheat.
Here are the schools the organization has promised to closely monitor for evidence to validate their claims:
- Ejisu Senior High Technical School
- Anlo-Afiadenyigba Senior High School,
- Tepa Senior High School
- Yeji Senior High Technical School
- King David College, Somanya
- Ideal College, Sunyani
- Christ the King Senior High School, Obuasi
- Modern Senior High School, Kpong
- Modern Senior High School, Kintampo
- Oyoko Methodist Senior High School
- Klo Agogo Senior High School
According to WAEC, During the writing of Elective Mathematics and English Language papers, they recorded some level of cheating as part of the questions were circulating on social media platforms prior to the sitting.
The circulation of these questions was not extensive but those found culpable would be sanctioned.
WAEC will therefore apply strict internal control, increase the inspection and monitoring of various centres, withdraw some supervisors and invigilators from providing services, strictly monitor schools where cheating has been reported and track down social media groups and websites leaking the exams papers.
Now, let's compare this leaked question with the original one.
