Two Suspected Armed Robbers Killed By The Police On The Kintampo-Buipe-Tamale Highway

Two suspected armed robbers have been killed on the Kintampo-Buipe-Tamale highway while four others arrested.

These robbers are believed to have engaged in some robbery activities as well as murder on the highway.


After some gun exchanges between the robbers and the Police Intelligence and Operational Team, two robbers who go by the names Hamidu Umaru and Haadu were killed.

The four other suspected robbers who were arrested are called Saaju Bukari, Bertor Saabi, Ali Amadu and Isaad Seidu.


The Special Anti-Robbery Task Force were able to retrieve 2 locally manufactured pistols and live cartridges, machetes, bayonets, pepper spray cans and stun guns during the arrest.

They were also able to retrieve some stolen items including motorbikes and mobile phones.


According to our source, these robbers are believed to be behind the murder of an International Journalist some days ago.

The Police, therefore, urged the general public to feed them with credible information on suspected criminals in their areas for immediate action to be taken.
