Nairobi Bans Blowing Of Nose In Public Without Handkerchief

A ban has been placed on nose-blowing in the capital of Kenya, Nairobi.

The governor of Nairobi has approved a new rule criminalizing the act of blowing ones nose in public without a handkerchief.


The same rule bans spitting in public as well as urinating in undesignated places in the capital.

Playing loud music in public spaces is one of the things that was affected by the new ban.


According to the governor, Ann Kananu, the city which represents the country must be clean and hygienic. 

The people are also barred from discharging dirty water or sewage water into the drainage system or on the streets.


The newly implemented law is also expected to protect the footpaths of the city by prohibiting citizens from planting trees and hedges in footpaths while motorcyclists are banned from plying the footpaths.
