The extent of technological development in the world proves that electric and solar cars are the future of automobiles.
Many countries and automobile companies have already started manufacturing electric and solar-powered cars.
Some African countries like Ghana and Nigeria have also joined the race of manufacturing these kinds of cars.
The recent country to join the race from African soil is Kenya, and at this time it is a 30-year old student who has manufactured the solar-powered car.
Samuel Karumbo, a 30-year old Kenyan international has manufactured the country's first solar-powered car.
Mr Karumbo is a student of Kitale National Polytechnic in Kenya and holds a Diploma in Electrical Installation.
Karumbo revealed that his plans are to commercialize the car and make it available to the local market after some upgrades are done.
