Two old men have been caught red-handed stealing from a phone shop at Tip Toe Lane in Accra.
These old men were caught stealing from the shop after the CCTV camera recorded them in the act.
The two men involved in this crime are Emmanuel Noi and his accomplice Christopher Nii William Offei who are 64 and 49 years old respectively.
In the video circulating on the internet which revealed how the duo executed the theft, Christopher William Nii Offei engaged the shop attendant at the front desk while Collins Dwamena walks straight to the product on target.
The video also captured Collins Dwamena hiding the stolen object under his clothes.
Meanwhile, the CCTV camera which was installed in the shop recently was capturing the activity of the thieves.
The shop owner who was at that time watching them from his computer as they steal appeared and got them arrested.
According to the shop owner, he was able to identify these thieves because he had once come across a video of these same old men using the same method to steal from a shop at Spintex.
Following their arrest the manager of Franco Trading Ent. branch in Osu, Theresa Afful has also come to log a complaint to the police that the same men used the same method to steal a laptop worth GHS2,700 some months ago which was captured on their CCTV camera.
The suspects are currently in police custody and would be processed to court as soon as the investigation is done.
