'I disagree With The Process Of The Trial And Ruling Of The Court'- Mahama Talks After Supreme Court Ruling


Former President John Dramani Mahama has reacted to the Supreme Court's ruling of the 2020 election petition.

The former President after the ruling spoke to the members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the whole of Ghana.


According to him, he disagrees with the process of the trial and ruling of the court.

'Much as I am aware that we are legally bound by the decision of the Supreme Court, I disagree with the process of the trial and ruling of the court.'



According to him, the trial was done to prevent the Electoral Commission to account for the people of Ghana.

'Ghanaians will remember this 2020 Election Petition for that profound moment when the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission opted to evade public scrutiny. Everything was done in this trial to prevent the Commission from accounting to the people on whose name they hold office.'



The Supreme Court this week has ruled the 2020 election petition in favour of the New Patriotic Party.

John Dramani Mahama on the other hand is not satisfied with the outcome of the ruling, therefore, organizing a speech to address the outcome.
