Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the historical impact of the military on technology, citing examples like computers, GPS, and the internet.
He underscored the importance of the military's involvement in advancing digitization efforts.
The Vice President called on the GAFCSC to contribute its expertise by designing programs that enhance digital awareness and cyber security skills among the youth.
"As I requested at last year’s graduation, government is looking forward to GAFCSC developing modules and programmes that will challenge the ingenuity of the youth, particularly in digitalization awareness and Cyber security related issues," stated Dr. Bawumia.
GAFCSC, recognized as a prime national asset, plays a pivotal role not only for Ghanaians but also for military personnel from other African countries.
Dr. Bawumia commended the institution for its impact and encouraged it to expand its offerings into untapped areas crucial for national development.
"The increased demand for vacancies on your programmes should serve as a motivation to explore and tap into other areas of study that are necessary for the socio-economic development of our dear nation and by extension the continent," he emphasized.
Dr. Bawumia also affirmed the government's commitment to supporting the military, including infrastructure expansion.
The joint graduation ceremony celebrated the 2023 class of the College for Senior Command and Staff Course 44, along with the Master of Science in Defense and International Politics Class of 2023.
